Hot Tub Removal in Woodstock & North Georgia
A dead hot tub is a 700-pound fiberglass shell wedged onto a deck. Taking one apart is the whole reason people call instead of renting a trailer.
We drain the tub, disconnect the power at the disconnect box, cut the shell down into manageable sections, and carry it out piece by piece. Cabinets, covers, pumps, and heaters all go with it.
Access is usually the hard part: screened porches, tight side yards, a deck that has been built up around the tub over fifteen years. We scope that on the walkthrough and price it before we start cutting.
Hard-wired tubs need the circuit killed at the panel before we arrive. If it is on a GFCI disconnect we can usually handle it. If it is wired straight in, an electrician needs to cut it loose first.
The shell is a mixed material and cannot be recycled whole, but the frame, pumps, and copper come out and go to metal recycling.
